  • The God of Small Things- Arundhati Roy

Rating- 7/10 It took a while to get into this book as it was a kind of complicated read (As opposed to my usual psychological thrillers). Lots of different characters and weird names to memorise, really weird names, but after I got over those humps I started to really get into the book. It's got a great story! Very life affirming book about politics, love, race, religion, life and death. It was a sad ending but still thoughtful too. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a life affirming type of book. Really enjoyed it, also very very well written, amazing sentences and great use of the English language, poetic too. • Between You & Me- Lisa Hall

Rating- 5/10 At first when I started to read this book it felt a bit tedious, it's about abuse in a marriage, physical abuse and some of the stuff was hard to read, I wanted the main character to grow some balls. lol but the more I read the book the more I got into it, took a while to get there.. it's a super easy read and man I did NOT see that plot twist coming in the end! At all...good twist, have to admit...was worth finishing the book for it. Get your Here from Amazon books.

  • The Girl on the Train- Paula Hawkins

Rating- 2/10 Ugh. Why did I read this book?! I've never hated a main character as much as I hated her.. man she was so whiny and annoying. A bit of a loser, and the book dragged on for many chapters.. was an okay plot but at the end I was like good Lord I've finally finished it ! Ugh.. lol Feel free to check out the book at Amazon.

  • Lipstick Jungle -Candace Bushnell

Rating- 9/10 Bordering on 10/10. Because I LOVE sex and the city and have watched the series like 20 times, I stumbled on this book on a hot day at my local laundromat, I didn't even know Candice Bushnell wrote more books! I felt like it was Carrie Bradshaw narrating the book, I loved how descriptive and how New York the book was! Very sex and the city style, fun, cool and sexy. Lots of sex in it too.. and empowering too for us women. Also it had one of the best last lines in a book I've read in a while! Loved it!! I didn't want it to end.. gotta read more Candice Bushnell books Seriously grab yours Here!

  • Dear Amy- Helen Callaghan

Rating- 6/10 This book was a lot more violent than I thought it would be, it was hard reading about girls being abducted and treated that way, trapped and beaten.. it was so violent. But a good book, the twist in the end was good and was surprising to know that the letters were coming from the main character. Shows you a lot about mental health too and post traumatic stress related symptoms.. Check out the book Here on Amazon Books.

  • After You- Jojo Moyes

Rating 5/10 Good romantic book, I read the first book before seeing the movie, so the book was a lot better. Really sad story, I kind of didn't like the main girl but yeah it was a good sappy read. Sequel to 'Me before you' it tells the story of the girl after her boyfriend dies. And what she does next, it's a good conclusion to the first one..a little long to read but was a good ending Check it out on Amazon- Click HERE
